Profane scholar Soffaya's tall frame seemingly fills the cabin, the many instruments radiating from her like extensions of her own body. Her hands scrawl an illegible shorthand into a loosely bound journal, while her eyes dart between the glowing eyepieces of various telescoping tubes that descend from the roof of the wagon. You could swear that every so often, a faint tendril of light snakes its way out of a lens and into her eye. Without looking away she asks,

 "Are you here to offer me a curse? Drop an item on my work bench
  so that I may appraise it. If not, leave me to my observations,
  though you may gawk in wonder as long as you do it quietly."
