The precise form of a selkie is hard to make out, since they move so quickly and fluidly through the water. Legend has it that the pelt of a selkie brings magical properties with it.
This mob is portable. You can skin it for a Selkie Pelt, a hero hit gear necklace. Make sure it have water up.
